I cannot say enough amazing things about Karissa. I was feeling overwhelmed during my search for a wedding photographer, and was pretty particular with what I was looking for, but as soon as I found Karissa I knew she was exactly what I wanted. Not only because of her beautiful and effortless style of photography, but even more so because of her warm and welcoming, kind personality. Before even meeting her in person I already felt like I was working with a close friend. She is beyond sweet and so easy to work with- very accommodating and also made us feel so comfortable during our actual photo sessions, engagement and wedding.
Not only that, she was a great resource to have throughout the planning process, always offering advice and recommendations, which was super helpful.
Her work is beyond words, so beautiful and genuine. The way she captures the colors and lighting, and intimate candid moments is incredible, and I really do feel like she has a way of perfectly personalizing your photos that best suits your style- making each of her couples unique.
I get such a happy warm feeling any time I look back at our photos. We’ve gotten SO many compliments too on how beautiful our wedding photos are so that’s even more testament to how great of a job Karissa does. Karissa was an absolute joy to work with and was our favorite wedding vendor. She came highly recommended from a friend and I am so glad we booked her before our date was taken! We first used Karissa for our engagement photos which I highly encourage all couples to do. My husband doesn’t love taking photos, but Karissa made us feel so comfortable, she gave us helpful cues and had us laughing the whole time. It was a really efficient process and the photos captured our relationship perfectly. It was also great to get to know her ahead of our actual wedding day. On our actual wedding day you could feel Karissa’s true joy and excitement for us. She was very organized in herding our large families and wedding party and we were even able to enjoy some of our cocktail hour after our bride and groom photos. Multiple family members and bridesmaids commented to me after the wedding on how much they liked Karissa. She felt more like a friend than a random hired vendor which made us so excited to have her capture our day, and we have since kept in touch with her. Book her. Words cannot accurately describe how happy I am to have found her for our 2022 wedding. What a joy of a person to work with. By the end of it all, she feels like a friend.
Upon booking her, she was so friendly, and just as excited for our wedding as we were! We did not need engagement photos taken before our wedding, so we met with her for coffee just to hang out and get to know each other. She is the sweetest individual!! On our wedding day, we felt so comfortable with her. It truly felt like a friend came to take our photos and we had a blast. It ended up POURING on our day, and Karissa didn't bat an eye. We were out in the rain and muddy vineyards - laughing at how crazy it all was, and just enjoying the present moment. Karissa radiates joy and love and kindness, and I couldn't have found a better person to be by our side during our big day.
