Alex and Steven’s summer lakeside wedding was straight out of a movie… between the gorgeous details and colors, venue, and what had to be my personal favorite part — escaping the party and getting in canoes in the lake! I always love when my couples can spend some intentional quality time together on their wedding day.

Alex and Steven met at church… Her first impression of him was that he was the “ladies man” and she “totally wrote him off”. They were in a bible study group together and she had a mad crush on him. When he told the Bible Study he was leaving to join the Air Force, Alex was shocked and so sad.

Steven, on the other hand, had been scheming since the day he met Alex to ask her out. And so he finally did! Alex said, “I was SO incredibly nervous and was going to say no but never had someone who was so deeply in love with the Lord”. She is SUPER adventurous and independent so the thought of marrying a military man was going to wreck the plans she had for herself. BUT sure enough she said yes and before they knew it, they were inseparable.

Their wedding day reflected the love they have for each other, their families, and the Lord. Every detail was perfect. How can you beat a summer lakeside wedding!?
